I made a few comments about the Hamburg show in my WIR but maybe I was a little too hard on the show. I'll try to answer the questions now that I've had a few extra days to think about it.

I was there, and boy was it packed!
but I want to know what you thought..... YES, WAY TOO PACKED

1) Where you there, if so, how would you rate the show overall?
On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being highest.
7 simply because it was too packed. They either need a larger building OR less non-herp vendors. I never thought I'd see the day when cell phone providers had tables at a herp show.

2) If you weren't there, was there a reason for you to NOT want to go?
N/A

3) What did you hope to see?
Did you see it or not?
Hoped to see more locality boas, including BCA's PLUS I was looking for a few corn snakes that I couldn't find (not a big deal though considering the time of year)

4) What do you think they could've had less of?
PEOPLE

5) What would you like to see more of?
boas in general but I arrived later in the afternoon so they sold quick

6) Would you say most people go there to:
a) just to browse
I think most people have somewhat of an IDEA of what they want PRIOR to going BUT we're all guilty of buying on a whim at these shows. This is a great opportunity for vendors with herps available for under $200 since they'll appeal most to these buyers IMHO
b) to purchase their first reptile
God I just hope not a venomous animal
c) to add prime specimens to their collections
d) just to pickup animals from pre-arranged deals
maybe people buying high-end herps. I cannot imagine carrying $5000 on me to buy a high-end reptile on a whim UNLESS I'm a fellow vendor and I've had a good day in sales
e) just to meet and speak with breeders
this was actually one of the reasons I went but it was too crowded

7) Where you satisfied overall with your purchase and/or trip?
YES, I spent a small fortune on frozen rodents but I saved on shipping. I remember shows years ago when IF you didn't get there early enough, you'd miss out buying frozen rodents because they sold out so quickly. The supply caught up with demand

Anything you would like to share would be great. I'd love to know what everyone thought about it. Overall, I thought it was a good show.

Sincerely, Jason
