Being an animal that is normally basking much of the day in the wild, they need 10-12 hours of UVB exposure daily. A good quality bulb (reptisun 5.0) should be kept approx. 12 inches from them and replaced yearly. Although it will still produce light, the UVB component dramatically decreases after a year. good luck with your little guy, [ Hide Replies ]
