About a week ago, I notice his mouth is "ripped", looks like there were extra skin around his mouth. At first I thought it was shedding (the environment was kind of dry). He's still very active, eats alot, basking everyday. I do notice that he is in pain when he first open his mouth during feeding time. It's my first time posting with a pic. Here's the link:

Sorry, it's kind of blurry, but you can see when he opens his mouth, there's a pink area by the side of his mouth and this is on both sides.

Tortoise table 2'x3'
Substrates : timothy hay
humidity : 25-60% (hard to keep it at certain % all the time)
night temp : 70-75F
day temp : 85F
basking area : about 95F
water bowl & humid hiding place available at all times
Food : grass and dandelion 80% of the time, the rest is cactus pads, mustard green, water cress, mazuri, grinded hay

I've had the two leopard hatchlings for about 3 months now. Everything is fine except for this. Is it possible that the enclosure was too dry and he ripped his mouth? This little guy does like higher temp than the other one. Sometimes he will come out sleep under the ceramic heater at night. I bought a Hubba mister for him after I saw him sleeping like that. I appreciate any input/advice. Thanks!
