RE: i built one....

with an old fridge. i used the heating element from my hovabator (with a fan). i mounted that to the top directly below that on a shelf i put a large dish of water. i also put a small heat pad with another pan of water on the bottom(this also is ran thru the thermostat....and might be overkill). i had a glass company cut all the shelves for me. i removed the wafer thermostat and plug the element into a helix pulse thermostat. i drilled 3 holes in the side and put a small piece of tubing in each, then siliconed the edges. the thermostat probe goes thru one of these holes. the other two holes (one high one low) are for a small constant flow of air. it holds the temps awesome and has been used to hatch out pythons so far. it took a few hours total to build. heres a pic. thanks for looking, john yocum
