Man I just don’t get it! I had my JCP(female) and my IJ(male) in the same enclosure since they were hatchlings (almost two years). They always coiled up together and never had any problems. A couple of weeks ago I separated them and now they are separated by 2” and 2 pieces of glass. The 2nd enclosure is set up exactly the same as the first. Now for my problem; those screwy snakes have been trying to get to one another ever since! Sometimes threw the glass but most of the time threw the top air vents. I am amazed at how much power they have to push on the mesh. I’m worried that they may rub their noses raw. I’m ready to put them in different rooms, but that sucks because I just invested in a nice display to house the cages!



I know snakes don’t get lonely so what’s the deal? They have hiding places on the warm side and the cold sides so that’s not it. One is staying on the hot side and the other is staying on the cold side so they can be as close as they can to each other.
