Its breeding season, of course they will want to be together. Now they are probobly just reaching sexual maturity. Put em together if you want to breed or change rooms for a little while. They can definetely hurt their faces with behavior like that.

Also make sure that their aren't other environmental factors causing the escape behavior. Are the two new cages smaller then the old large one?
