The green spot is...

probably his gall bladder. Most dead snakes that I have heard of have this green area. Apparently the gall bladder does something when they die? If you are concerned about the rest of your collection being exposed to something, you might want to take him in for a necropsy. Make sure you don't freeze the body, though. Just refrigerate it until you can get him in. That might give you a cause of death.
