The only specie I might add to what others have already said is the Angolan Python, which is of course expensive as all hell - but it doesn't get to be very big... and it is somewhat similar to a BP.



The other thing I would have to tell you though is that if the species of pythons that everybody else has suggested aren't what you are looking for, look into boas.



*gasp* I said that in the Python Forum.



But Rosy Boas only get to around 3', Rubber Boas get to around 2', and there are several dwarf localities of Boa constrictors. Good luck.
