He's a great eater, really sweet disposition, and loves to hide out in his flowerpot. Lately he has vacated his flowerpot to curl up under the heat lamp on top of the heat pad. The lamp is on for 12 hours for day/night distinction only. He's active only at night and the temperatures are perfect for where he likes to hang out - until late. For the last 6 or so days he's been basking like never before. Two days ago he had a bowel movement that showed traces of bloody poop. Is this mouse bits or should I be concerned? I know that snakes will bask in overly hot temperatures if they are trying to induce a fever if they feel unwell. He fed fine the next day, happily taking down two mice. |
