Posted by: justinian2120 at Thu Aug 24 00:43:23 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by justinian2120 ] ok let's see....probably more than a few $$ worth of gasoline, even more chigger bites, and i end up with just that....oh yeah there was a few various natricines, all too deep in blue to justify taking/posting their pics,a few racers, and actually quite a few frog species, most of which just wouldn't cooperate for pics....even heard three great horned owls but am embarrassed to admit i didn't even try to photograph them, assuming i couldn't get close enough to get a good shot in the tangled woods they were hanging in.hopefully next time...the last shot is of the chunkhead's friendly reminder of why you don't want to underestimate their speed and feist.he really just made a beeline for the side of the road, and tagged the first thing he perceieved to be in his way(my camera bag).lol i don't think he had much left in the tanks after that one,he pumped it with all he had;an impressive show, copperhead or not...the ugly bummer that really ruined it all for me was seeing a huge swamp(i had'nt been there in a couple years) was now completely drained and was growing cheap 'luxury' homes in it's place.talk about taking the wind right out of your sails,on an otherwise beautiful day to be outdoors.luckily that was at the beginning of the day;i herped on,and my finds did help me forget about it momentarily.oh yeah those kings were under one piece of a.c. | ||
