They are now pretty well protected against collection and exportation in Africa, and I don't recall seeing any imports of them for about ten years now. A few private indididuals may have some animals from the last legal importations, but I am not aware of any current private owners. There is a fellow in the western US (MT, I think) who had one or two Homopus areolatus. It seems he was getting divorced and offered them for sale about 8-12 months ago. Maybe you can track down those animals. | ||
