The term mutt bothers me, I think it sounds a little harsh too. I wonder if the word "intergrade" might better describe the offspring of two subspecies mixed together... Its a bit like refering to your neonates as pups or your females as es...it is simply not the correct word for the application. Just my thoughts on a silly subject
