UNION-TRIBUNE (San Diego, California) 24 September 06 Region in review Lemon Grove: Reptile owners found an ally in City Councilman Jerry Selby on Tuesday night. Selby and his colleagues on the City Council were considering banning the creatures from public spaces as part of a list of changes to the city's animal codes. But Selby, who said he once owned an iguana, questioned why the city should prohibit the creatures but let other, perhaps more dangerous ones, roam the streets.
