Even if kept at their usual temps, the shorter days do seem to influence their feeding. I have found that some of my snakes that seem uninterested in their regular meals this time of year will accept smaller prey items. Smaller meals, less often, seems to be the rule for several of my snakes from about this time until spring. If one goes a couple of months and won't eat at all I will often cool it down for a month or so. Don't worry. I just figure that even with my ratsnakes that I DON'T brumate, I will be spending less on chow this time of year and for the next few months. Duffy [ Hide Replies ]
