Jason,
I don't ever get to work with the Northern Pacifics, but I do work alot with the Southern Pacifics. I have noticed over the years that when the male is done copulating with the female, he is out of here until the following year. Given that, I personally would separate the two after breeding.
I also agree with you. I dont think hybernating the two together matters. If anything, I agree with it. I like to try and copy wildlife conditions as much as possible in captivity.
