The hammocks I've seen are designed to be held onto the sides of a glass tank via suction cups. I can't imagine the suction cups would hold that much weight but if you were to use wire to attach them to your cage sides somehow I imagine they'd hold a decent sized ratsnake. I use plastic flower pots the same way to provide elevated hide spots in my Taiwan Beauty cages. They seem to like them just fine and tend to hang out in the pots quite a lot.
