All I can tell you that the diversity of affordable snakes is declining rapidly during the past five or so years, and that you can forget about this "greater appreciation" among European herpetoculturists for native American colubrids. Pituophis species, for instance, have about zero demand out here, not even the good stuff like Black Pines or Cape Gophers. The market for Kings and Milks seems to be completely saturated, and this goes for all ratsnakes as well, exept for some high end Cornsnake morphs. A good old fashioned Black Ratsnake, Okeetee Cornsnake, Eastern Kingsnake or Northern Pinesnake is almost impossible to find these days. Most hobbyists out here neither know nor care about these fantastic animals. | ||
