If handled regularly from a young age and as long as they're out of their cage, they are usually quite docile, but not always. As for the cage, should be fine, just remember the guy is gonna want to spend a good portion of the time off the ground so make sure to give him room and places to climb/hang out. And just a recomedation, make sure lid is secure, they are crafty. Dont give him a way because the will is there.
