Hi! I recently researched and acquired plants eaten by PTS in the Solomons and wanted to share what I found. I got the info from Vivarium Magazine Vol. 7, No. 1.
I found the following at a local houseplant nursery. Of course Pothos, Epipremnum pinnatum, but you can find that anywhere. Also Monstera deliciosa, called split-leaf philodendron. Get the small young ones, as those are preferred for eating. Ficus benjamina, also you can get young small ones.
Plants I'd have to order online, but you might find in your nursery... Scindapsus pictus, called the Silver Philodendron. If anyone has cuttings, I'd love to buy some! Piper sp. If you live in the south, there are Pipers invading almost everywhere, so I've heard. Maybe you could send me some if it grows in your yard! I am not sure which species Corucia eats, but I assume almost any tropical Piper, I found 9 species that are tropical. (Haven't researched all nine, but I can give you the list if curious.) Piper betle is the betle nut, and I know that grows in the Solomons cuz the people there chew betle nut like crazy. I also know that Piper aduncum grows there too, but it's considered invasive, so no one sells it (that I know of.)
Finally, if you have a prehensile tailed skink, please consider using live plants that they can eat instead of silk plants. These are all easy to maintain and Corucia eats them. Imagine if you lived in captivity and you had fake food in the kitchen and got a plate of mush every day to eat. ----- Lisa Rakestraw International Skink Appreciation Society ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Corucia zebrata, gender unknown 6 Egernia striolata, 4 females and 2 males 1 Eugongylus albofasciata, gender unknown 1 Eumeces schneideri, gender unknown
