To properly seal and be easy to clean you need a smooth surface. Even the "low grade" hardwood plywood from the home cxenters will work great for caging although probably twice the price you quoted. Here are a couple I made from home depot 3/4" plywood with solid oak fronts. [ Hide Replies ]
