The more you look at pics of each of them the more each will stand out.

Coastal Carpets as newborn hatchlings tend to be a combination of tan/grey/black, some will have more of one coloration and less of another, but general some form of those colors.

Irian Jaya Carpet Pythons as newborn hatchlings are orange/red in coloration, and with time the red coloration turns into colors of Tan/Brown/yellow.

They are both Carpets pythons, but the differences in these two Carpets is pretty big, the more you look at pics of them, the more each will be distinguishable. Coastals tend to get larger than Irian Jayas, Coastals are from Australia, Irian Jayas are from Western Papua (Formaly Irian Jaya)
