For all you do it yourselfer cage builders out there, I relay this story.
I once used a coat hanger wire to ream out a drain hole in a window unit type air conditioner without unplugging it. I figured no way there could be electric near the water tray, right? I have been shocked before, and like alot of you out there, I have an unusual (some would say stupid) lack of fear, but that one hurt! Vibrated my forearm and hurt to my shoulder blades in back. I was even sore for two days. Since then, I could say I don’t fear electricity, but I don’t ever want to do that again! Always have a lot of respect for it, like any other “hot”. I've been told that could have been deadly.
Awesome cage, by the way. I wish I had room for a dozen of them!
