I thought it was pretty decoration for his enclosure, but low and behold he got to fat to fit through it. I didn't think he'd grown that much in the past couple weeks but apparantly I was mistaken. After taking those pictures last night, I left him alone for a few hours, when I went up to go to bed, he had destroyed his enclosure, he'd gotten scared really badly and messed it pretty badly, one of the rings in the garland was stuck on him. He'd tried to slither through it and it wasn't big enough.

When I got up there and I always check on him before I go to bed, it's the last thing I do before I turn out the light and lay down. I opened his tank and he was rattling that tail and hissin like mad, he was terrified, poor baby. I ended up having to cover his head with my washcloth and hold him steady while I cut the plastic garland off.

My problem now is that it damaged several scales. He's only had one scale injury in his life and it healed and evidence of it was gone with next shed. This one is a lot of scales, that thing was similiar to a rubber band being stuck on a cats neck.

Will they heal as the other injury did or will this become permanent? will he always have a lil indented "band" around his body now? I'm so upset about this, I immediately through out ALL of the garland and just added another hide to the enclosure. I would rather have a bulky hide than any more garland, would rather ugly hide than injured snake any day.

What do ya think?
