I use aspen shavings I have 18 snakes in aquriums and the rest (approx 40) in racks. I use aspen in every enclosure Aspen is inexpensive easy to spot clean isn't quick to mold with spilled water isn't dusty...at least what I get has minimal dust Provides another hide...they like to burrow through it looks decent enough in display tanks My only choice ----- Corn snakes and rat snakes..No one can have just one.
