Posted by: Dillybird at Fri Feb 2 12:21:17 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Dillybird ] I have a young Eastern. I couldn't compare her to anything else- she's just very different. She is timid but not reclusive. She is out in the open the most of all my snakes. She climbs constantly, or otherwise is to be found lounging on top of a hide or hanging over her water crock. She alternates between burrowing in aspen or just crawling into a hide and peeking her head out. She is diurnal- but wakes up before it is light. She hisses and flares up her hood whenever she spots someone, but doesn't hide. She feels "squishy," almost hollow. Although she climbs in her vines a lot, she isn't very good at hanging on by her tail when being handled- she isn't clingy. She's crawled into my hands voluntarily a few times. She was scared watching Snakes On A Plane. [ Hide Replies ]
