I have adult and baby easterns. If your thoughts are to get one and feed it frogs, then don't. Frogs and toads carry parasites, among possible others viruses. I once was of the frog ok mindset. After terrible heartbreak and the loss of 4 easterns to the same malady (from their diet) I am now a rodent only feeder.

Their temperment is much like that of Westerns, but clamer. They are a very hollow feeling snake, but with tons of personality. I would say that they do require a good bit of time, especially if you are having to convert them. I think they are worth it though. Breeding is very much like their Western counterparts. As for color, I have never seen an adult colored light the neonates. They seem to either get brighter or darker as they age.
