Actually that is similar to what I had envisioned minus the cider blocks, but I thought about during a version of stucco on the bottom of the sections to hold back dirt as well as weatherproof the base. The rest of the wood structure I had planned to paint. It is still in the idea stage so I thank you for a fresh opinion I will keep your words in my mind as I develope it further. We don't have axcess to redwood up here just ceder, so I will have to stick with pine.
