They like it wet, and by having the moist side over where temps are in the mid-70s, it doesn't dry out as quickly. I think you can have high water vapor in an area of the cage atmosphere without it having to be on the hot side of the vivarium. With my leos, I use plastic shoeboxes as humid hides (like Tremper does), and I have half the box over the UTF and half not, giving the geckos the opporunity to self-regulate. This box doubles as the laying area. Hope this helps. [ Hide Replies ]
