I’m new to this forum and have recently purchased a 1.2 trio of W Hogs from a trusted source who says they’re proven. He also said that they’ve been brumated and were warmed up in mid March. They’ve had several meals since I got them and have yet to shed. For the first few days I kept the male in with both females. Since then I separated the male and am putting the females with him in turns. Something like couple days with one, couple days with the other, couple days to feed and digest.

So far the females seem far more interested in the male than he seems in them, and I’ve never seen them locked up with each other. I’ve read that multiple males encourage breeding behavior; I’ve also read that the male is attracted to the female following her shed. I have only one male and my girls have yet to shed.

So I’m looking for specific breeding tips from those of you who’ve done it before. Should the male be fed as much as he’ll eat during breeding season? Should temps be on the high side or low side? Should I keep them all separate until the females shed? Also, both females seem highly active, but one eats anything I put in front of her and the other only took a small mouse and refused a second one, then she refused when I offered another a few days later.

I’m excited about my investment and really hoping for little hoggies this season, please help. All advice will be meticulously read and much appreciated!
