Posted by: Alanna at Thu May 3 11:01:40 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Alanna ] I am hoping to get a Leopard Gecko in the next few weeks but i am unsure of the set up. I have read up on it and looked at caresheets but some contradict each other. One thing i have learned is that sand is a no go in most cases. I would like to go down the road with slate or tile but i am unsure as to what to get. IE Normal house tiles ok? Are these easy to clean and what do you use to clean them. If so will the UTH be able to penetrate the tile and keep the enclosure warm enough? Is it ok to put the UTH under the tile. How thick is to thick for the tile? I will have a heat lamp at the opposite end for night time (Blue or red the care sheet states)but i am confused as to what temps i should have on the UTH and and the heat lamp end. Will the heat lamp not make the tile very warm if its at 80-88F. (Will the leo burn his feet on it) 1 hide and 1 humid hide on the UTH side and also a small dish of calcium is what i will be using. I will feed it crickets with vitamins once every 3 days and maybe some meal owrms or wax worms once every 2 weeks as a treat. Sorry for all the questions but i want to get it right. | ||
