I'm afraid someone did dump him/her. The area he was found in isn't one you would typically find an expensive, well cared for (seemingly) animal. Pretty friendly too, unless you pick him up! We're going to give it at least a week and a half to try and find the owners, in case he escaped while on vacation, then we'll try and find him a good home---one that can prove a nice outside cage (we're in Arizona) is available, and someone who can provide vet refs. Poor fella has been through enough in the past couple of days, we don't want to toss him to an inexperienced keeper....
