>>I don't expect that this Cyclura is just set loose by someone. These animals are worth a lot of money (at least here in Holland) So why would someone dump it, if he can also simply sell them.
>>
>>I don't know what their worth over there by you, but here it's pretty much money for what you've found.
>>
>>They need a very large cage, so I don't know if your friend can provide this for her? They eat a lot also, so that might be 'expensive' also.
>>
>>So better know what you do with this animal, don't just give it away or something. Their really nice to keep if you have to money and the roam.

>>If you want to, I might now someone who might be interested in it. You can always contact me here via mail for that.

>>Succes with this specie!

>>1.1.0 Ctenosaura melanosterna

They're not cheap over here either!! The only reason I can see one being turned loose is, a child was bitten and the wife says the lizard goes....Also possible someone turned it loose to 'get even' with someone for something. Some people just aren't bright.

If my friend does keep her, her husband is a welder and can easily build a nice outdoor enclosure. If we rehome it, not sure if we'll charge a fee or not, or just do a home check for caging setup, and check vet references. It will go to a good home though. Oh, and feeding expense wouldn't be that much more for her, she already has a lot of veggie eaters...
