If using 1x1 welded wire and you want it to last forever, use galvanized pipe as the the frame as you would for chain-link. You will need to attach it with steel twist ties or metal screws which are more difficult. When using chain-link kennels, it is best to have it on a concrete slab because these enclosures are extremely heavy, and may sink into the ground unevenly making your enclosures look sloppy. The welded wire enclosures are best put in a substrate of drainrock covered by decomposed granite. This allows for good draining. There is much more detail to cover but not enough time to do it here. | ||
