Mine was also a rescue and difficult to feed in the beginning. I found that by blending up all his food making a thick green sludge out of it he would gobble it all down! I usually fed collards, turnips, mustards, escarole, and another type of green I can't recall its name. I also threw in some cantaloupe, butternut squash, and green beans (boy did he love green beans and cantaloupe!). After a few weeks to a month I began offering him chopped up meals, rather than blended, and he continued to eat all I offered. Mine was about 40 inches or so when I had to part paths and he was eating a couple dinner plates a day and looking nice and plump. | ||
