I was born in, and mostly raised in, Florida. We've always lived "in the country" since I have a horse. Of course, country here is filled-in swamp. My current yard (1 1/2 acres) usually has moccasins and pygmy rattlers. After wrestling and relocating a cottonmouth, who was as big around as my calf, and moving countless pain-in-the-butt pygmies out of my yard, I think I've got a bit of experience with the local hots.
