It's not spit. It's snot, or what some of us affectionately call snalt. Iguanas sneeze to rid their bodies of excess salts. The white that you are seeing drying on the glass is salt. This is also an indication that your iguana is getting warm enough. Watch to make sure that you don't see him gaping his mouth open which means he is too hot.
