The snakes are definitely Diadem Snakes, and the smaller one is probably (Spalerosophis diadema cliffordi) as previously mentioned. The larger is probably the nominate race known as Spalerosophis diadema although hard to tell for certain. These combined subspecies have a very large range from north Africa, through Arabia, and into central Asia.

There are several ssp. of Diadem "ratsnake", more accurately closer to the genus of racers, than true ratsnakes.

In any case, forget about it being any form of North American Ratsnake.
