As he said, offspring would be het. whitesided and het. brindle. And I agree with him, I wouldn't mix the two subspecies. There have been a ton of black x Texas mixes already, and they don't produce anything truly unique.

You can find both subspecies cheap, so if you're wanting to breed, I'd say look for another black rat, and/or another Texas rat.
