Posted by: batrachos at Sun Apr 20 21:24:10 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by batrachos ] I've seen a pretty broad range of colors in S. dekayi, including many shades of yellowish, reddish, and neutral browns, and a few gray to almost black ones. There is also variation in the prominence of the vertebral stripe, dark dorsal markings, and occipital and facial markings. They don't seem to show distinct color morphs the way S. occipitomaculata (red-bellied snakes) do. | ||
