Posted by: IcyWolf at Wed Apr 16 22:56:04 2008 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by IcyWolf ] you shouldn't necessarily have dominance issues but when they become sexually mature you will probably have some problems on your hands. mature male iguanas are very aggressive when "in season" and can hurt and/or kill females in an attempt to mate, not to mention the undo stress to the female from the male constantly attempting to mate with her. i only say this because i once had two iguanas, a male and a female, caged seperately but in the same room. the male physically broke the screen out of his cage, climbed to the top of hers and knocked her heat lamps down, almost catching my house on fire. and trying to get him off of her cage wasnt fun either. As juveniles i think it may be feasible in a large cage to keep them together if necessary, but i really would advise against it when they are older. [ Hide Replies ]
