I would plan on separate cages.

I do have to ask, is that a heatrock that the one is laying
on? I can't tell from the picture but if it is I would get
rid of it now. These are unnatural for iguanas and cause
severe burns.

Also, the substrate that you are using dries out the environment
and can cause impaction. Iguanas need humidity which is very
difficult to get especially with this kind of substrate. Use
regular old newspaper or paper towels. It's not the best looking
but it is cheap and there is no chance for impaction.

Just my thoughts on your set-up.
