I was staying in miami a few years ago and there was a unkept ferret running in and out of the house. The house would be filthy with them, and it wasnt my house or I would have eliminated the ferret. But the common denominator was water..they need it. They are always around the place of open water so eliminate other open water areas in the house, create a breeze putting a fan in the window, and a couple of fly strips over the sinks, shower, and in the snake room. It goes without saying, DONT LEAVE ANY POOP AROUND and they cant reproduce. If they get on your eggs, a q tip with hydro peroxide will due them in....and another reason why I use paper towels as substrate...not only are they cheap and easily replaced, but if you are having any discoloration(problem)they show up immediately and you can avoid them burrowing into the bottom of your eggs and killing your babies. | ||
