I've personally never tried that method for hatching hondo eggs although I'm imagine it would work fine. Hondo eggs are fairly easy to hatch the old fashion way in pearlite, vermiculite, spagnum moss or what ever. Although they can handle more fluxuation, I try to keep it to a limit of a couple degrees above or below my choice incubating temp which is 80. If your temps do go up and down much more I would try to keep it at a minimum. Randy W.
