Weird Egg

My female had her pre-lay shed and has been racing around her cage.
She shed 3 days ago and yesterday she dropped a weird looking egg that was normal mostly except on one side it looked sluggish.
I threw it in the incubator anyhow, it plumped up and the slug looking material on the one side disappeared. Anybody experience anything like this? It has been a day since she dropped the egg and she is still racing around. I have a egg box in with her. She looks a lot skinnier than she did and I am worried that she ate her eggs.
