I usually use either diluted nolvasan or diluted bleach when cleaning my tanks and reptile furniture but ran out today and had to pick something up while getting some other stuff at the good local pet store (I question the husbandry practices of the other local pet every time I go in and today learned that they sell nothing to disinfect any sort of enclosure for any type of animal). They were out of the disinfectant that they usually use but just started stocking this "cage wizard" about six months ago and apparently it's selling like crazy. I can't find anything about it on the internet other than places to purchase it so I was wondering if any of you have heard about it and if it actually works.

It's labeled as a germicidal disinfectant with the following active ingredients:
Octyl decyl dimethyl ammonium chloride
Dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride
Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride
Alkyl (C14, 50%; C12, 40%; C16, 10%) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride

I have a new animal in quarantine so I'm just trying to figure out if I can trust this product to help protect against cross-contamination. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
