How do I post a pic?? I would like to know what kind of hog I have, I believe it is an eastern. I am new to hognose. I have a 10 inch rescued hognose, a friend's parents would not let their kid keep it. Not sure if it is an eastern or western. It was caught in Middle Wisconsin. I live near Chicago. It has not eaten in a month but is drinking water regularly. I have read info from this site and have tried braining pinkies and have put the snake and the pinkie in a dark deli dish for over a day and no luck. As a stretch I have tried crickets and nightcrawlers also. No luck at finding toads around here and I just get dumb looks at all the pet stores, I have looked on line for toad sellers and no one has baby feeder lizards / anoles. I have tried scenting pinkies with chicken meat. What should I try next??? If need be I will let it go back where it came from but it is a very friendly and calm snake and I have grown attached to it. lease help. Thanks.
