That is how I do it at least. If it was found in Wisconsin it would be an eastern. They can be notoriously picky eaters. One thing you might be able to do if you can't find a toad, is find someone who keeps bullfrogs and dip a f/t mouse in the water for scenting. I would guess that after a month or more in captivity, it would probably be unwise to simply let it go (although I could stand corrected on this) but I know some states actually have laws against rereleasing anything in captivity more than 48 hrs. How are the temps in its enclosure? Just keep trying different things and hope they work. [ Hide Replies ]
