I don't think balls will need any permits or anything to keep. They are too docile, Don't get overly large and are very easy to rehome.

Giants on the other hand are a differen't story... Many of the people that buy them do so on impulsive buys and when it comes to normals and even normal albino's! You can't even give those things away!! Just check your local Reptile Shelter/Rescue. With the Bans and regulations happening across the country There just isn't really a big market for Big snakes anymore... I don't agree with bans but permits will help weed out the impulsive buys from the responsible genuine herpers.
