I have two pair of western hognose that I have been trying to breed for two years now with no sucess. I hybernated the group this year between 50-55 deg and all of the animals were at proper weight before breeding. I have been using my larger male to breed with the two girls and they hook up but each year all that I have been getting is bad eggs.
Both females are back up to weight and I really want some babies this year do you think that it is a bumb male that is why I have not gotton any babies or something else?
Should I try to put the other male in with the females and try to double clutch the females or just wait till next year? Any advice would be helpful. I have poored over any information that I could find and am still coming up bust.
