That's great that he's doing good so far, but I wouldn't breed him if I were you, there's a chance that it could affect offspring, about 1/2 mile from my house there's a pond with garter snakes, and every one of them that I've found in that area has a kinked spine, so I think it could be that there were just one or two with kinks there and it was passed on to offspring. Also, you never know if he could be in pain, he wouldn't realise it, since he's felt it all his life,even since befor he hatched; what you do with him is up to you, I don't even know what I would do.
